Morso Cutting Woes

I recently sent my Morso blades blades off for sharpening and replaced them with a near worn set to cover for the time they were away. Immediately I found that the cut was not as expected. When joining the moulding with an underpinner it is apparent that the cut is 'too shallow' and leaves a noticeable gap on the inside of the frame. I have tried adjusting the fit of the blades to no avail. Fortunately i have been relying on my previously retired hand guillotine to finish off the cuts while waiting for the blades to return.

I have now refitted my sharpened blades and have exactly the same issue. Has anyone suffered the same issue and if so, what was the resolution?

Search on here for gnat - seriously.

And you'll find that the left fence requires adjustment by a gnat's whisker.

Yep agree, gnat's whisker on the left fence should do it. Search the forum for the technique or get Prospero to explain..... :giggle:

That has worked a treat. Many thanks. I guess it must be an issue with the amount of material left on the blades? It has only happened with the two sets of blades I have and not before I sent the first pair off to be sharpened.
