Hi folks, this is the last of my framing kit up for sale.
Nobex Champion Mitre Saw £50 (new: costs upwards of £130)
Exceptionally accurate (to within plus/minus 0.08MM) and stable mitre/compound mitre saw. Cuts superb mitres, and can handle cutting depths electric mitre saws can’t (to over 7 inches).
Perhaps the nearest accuracy of cut to a Morso, without investing in one. Like the Morso, it has fantastic Swedish-built quality: e.g. the pre-set angles click around with a very satisfying clunk (like the fence on a Morso does).
The precision-ground aluminium table even has dedicated grooves, whereby compound mitres can be accurately cut, if desired. Also has built-in adjustable clamps, to hold work in position.
The whole unit has four holes on the base, so you can securely screw it down to a workbench (or screw it to bit of timber, then fast-clamp the timber to a bench/table).
Machine is in good condition, aside from the blade, which needs replacing. New blades start at about a tenner. For compactness/ease of storage, the blade ‘paralel parks’ to save workshop space (see first pic).
Comes with original instructions & Allen Key. Loads of info online/YouTube, too.
Price: £50 - Collected from South Wimbledon. Viewing/questions very welcome.
