Full time
Due to their continued success Wessex Fine Art are looking for a picture framer to join their busy team. Experience preferred, but not essential.
Duties to include
• Cutting and joining of frames, cutting glass, backs and assembling artwork into frames ready for collection or delivery
• Making box frames, stretching canvas, mounting of memorabilia and obscure objects
• Taking detailed briefs from client and producing quotes
• Handling customer enquiries and complaints in a fast and efficient manner
• Checking the entire final product is finished to the highest standard before checking off the work schedule
• Operation of the Heat Seal Laminator to dry-mount prints
• Covering for staff involved in other stages of framing where necessary
• Maintaining the workshop area, keeping the framing workshop area and tools clean, and tidy
The candidate must:
Be accustomed to challenging deadlines
Work well under pressure
Be a team player
Have a keen eye for detail and quality
Be able to read and follow instruction from the specification doc
Ideally be local
This is a physically demanding role and also requires someone who is willing to be flexible and work extra hours.
