WOW....
We have a legal mind amongst us. I only took one semester of business law in college..... about 50 years ago.

Now I know why solicitors (heretofore known as the 'bloodsuckers') charge £150 an hour.

Crumbs that's cheap. The last one I consulted wanted nearly ten times that. Happily I wasn't paying.

Yes, we do indeed have a legal mind among us. A superbly well explained and informative post!

Get some correct legal advise. No matter how well intentioned the forum is unless the law is behind you
It'll be useless for you if you have to take the people to a court or if you are taken to court.
It sounds like you've invested a great deal of money into all the work so a solid investment in legal advice will hopefully bring its reward.

Wise Words. I spite of what we may think of solicitors they are professionals and heavily regulated.
"A person who conducts his own defence has a fool for a client".
Same could be said for a layman who frames his own pictures.

Re: Deceased client...
I always find it funny (and I'm guilty of it too) how in various professions we complain about amateurs making a mess of jobs and how people should go to them rather than trying to do it themselves, but when it comes to designing websites or business cards we'd rather do it ourselves.
think it's fairly universal!
