Thank you Keith

Our copy arrived today.

I have tried to subscribe on line for PFM but so far without success :( When it comes to making a frame or even the grand children I've got plenty of patience :D but when it comes my PC and IT in general it's a different matter :head: sometimes I would like to throw my computer out the window and watch the tractors run over it.

Once again thank you for your generosity very much appreciated.

Peter

Like Peter I have had no success in subscribing. I have e mailed them and they state they are now looking into the problem and will advise me when the subscription page is back up and running. Will report back when I hear.

Poliopete & Chris2103 ...

I've sent an email to the Publisher - Bruce Gherman asking him to get this sorted.

He or one of his staff might write something on this forum.

Keith, it may be my incompetence  and not the publishers fault that I am unable to subscribe. Thanks for your help anyway.

Having a hard copy of the U.S.A. PFM and reading from cover to cover has made me determined to get regular copies.

I found the whole publication very interesting and a couple of items that stood out for me were firstly, the article by James Miller, "Budget-Friendly Preservation". My way of constructing Platform Mounts could be greatly improved in both method and materials by making a few changes benefiting my customers and making me a better framer. :)

Also, the piece of the Berlin Wall framed by John Ranes, a regular and helpful contributor on TFF, is well worth a second look.

On page 43 of PFM there is an advert for a "Doubly Mitre Saw System" that appears to copy  Peter's (aka Prospero) set up as described in TFF "New Workshop Project" or "Shed Thread" dated May 24, 2011. Surly, one of the most interesting and entertaining threads on this excellent forum.

Peter,
Thanks for posting and sharing your views and opinions. You obviously enjoyed many parts.
I've known James Miller for many years, not only as top class lecturer at the WCAF show in Las Vegas each January, but also a man
with a passion for our industry, who freely gives his time and thoughts to try and make it better.

If an online subscription is baffling, then simply use the subscription form I enclosed, and send by post
Or another alternative would be to email Maureen Robertson , who looks after subscriptions.

mrobertson@hobbypub.com

with your name & address. If reluctant to give your C/C details in an email, simply ask Maureen to phone you to get them.

Who knows we might even see you in Vegas next January at the show. Jan 20 - 24th 2018
I encourage all framers to go once in their lives. It's not a cost its an investment
With over 100 seminars covering every single aspect of framing its sure to help anyone who attends.

Keith,

Thanks for the heads up. I have emailed Maureen and await a reply.

A few years ago I would have jumped, with alacrity, at the opportunity to go to Vegas. Have been to Atlantic City a couple of times, not so glitzy but just as easy to loose "loads a money" : :giggle: Even managed to walk the whole Board Walk

Unfortunately, long haul flights knock me for six these days. . :(

Thanks again

Peter

I had thought I had posted this last week but perhaps posted to the wrong thread so I am posting today.

The problem with the Picture Framing Magazine online subscription page has been resolved.

They can go to https://pictureframing.omeda.com/pf/r-main.do

Click on START A NEW SUBSCRIPTION and then subscribe.

So sorry for the problem. It seems our fulfillment company had to fix a glitch.

Sincerely,

Maureen Robertson

I subscribed a couple of weeks ago to two years of the above (download version only) after reading June's addition which was posted on this forum recently.
But have so far not been able to open up any additions of the magazine yet. I can log in and it says I have paid and have 23 editions left (even though so far I have had none) and today I noticed it says new subscribers need to wait six weeks before logging in, so most bizarre, have emailed them a couple of times but no response so far.
