CS88 help!!!

This just happened!!!! What do I need to fix this???

I've got a guy doing a charity thing tonight, wanted some framing for the event. I have to call him now with be the good news :head: :(

Talk about bad timing, you really couldn't make this stuff up :( :(

A turnbuckle and cable clamps for each end. It's an easy DIY project.

or

new wire cable and 2 cable clamps with eyelets.

I would say you need a new cable. If you were nearer you could have my spare one! Make sure you order two!

Home depot is slightly far away btw :) but point taken, not sure if I fancy doing a DIY job, I'd probably mess things up & time isn't something I have a lot of at the moment.

I had one of these cables fail on a CS-79 some years ago. When examined it I found that the pulleys were not revolving freely and the friction has caused the weakening of the cable. It's well worth checking this and if necessary relubricating the sleeve bearings with some Molykote GN paste.

Right, two cables ordered. Thanks for the tip Mark, I'll be sure to check the pulleys when the casing is open :)
