I seem to be having a problem procuring water white/super clear/low iron content glass that is truly clear. Two of my sources of 'clear' glass do not seem to have glass that does not have an obvious green tinge to it.
The attached photo shows 3 pieces of glass; bottom is piece cut from my stock of glass (water white etc), middle is standard float and top is true water white.

The top 2 pieces are what I show customers to demonstrate the benefits of water white - there is an obvious difference in clarity.

Does anybody have a consistently clear supply of water white/super clear/low iron content glass?

Does that mean normal glass with it's iorn content is magnetic and will it rust?

No, it's iron oxide, not ferritic iron.

Hubby tried to order waterwhite float from wessex, looking like a 2-3 month wait as their last shipment was “condemned”

Now you are just making stuff up, besides isn't Iorn oxide already rust.

So a serious answer from me then, CENTRADO sell it.

My latest stock of water white came from Centrado - the photo in the first post shows just how green it is. The photo in their (and others) catalogue show a distinct difference between water white and standard float. I’ve yet to find a current supplier whose catalogue photo reflects the actual product delivered.

This is not a rant about Centrado; I find them to be a really good supplier.

Then they sent you an incorrect product, we have had the we glass and normal float from them.

I just received 10 sheets of waterwhite from Wessex last week!

IFGL - Centrado have acknowledged the fact that what they have sent does not match the photo description in their catalogue and we have come to an agreed solution.

I can only assume they have changed suplier, I have never actually ordered the plain ww glass but have had it delivered plenty of times in picking errors.

I grew up in the North, and knew a few characters who would take a bite out of there pint glass.
