Hi all
Just received an e-mail from Arqadia, say that F W Holroyd has ceased trading ..... any else heard this. I was just in there last week, getting some supplies .......

Got a letter last week saying they were soon going to be owned by Centrado. Apparently not expecting much to change.

We had our Centrado Rep. in earlier this week, he told us they had just acquired them

The letter said they would be starting a fortnightly van service in May - we shall see.

Yes, Holroyd are now owned by Centrado so they will no longer supply Arqadia products once they run out of current supplies.
Not much will change apart from that although they will focus more on deliveries.
I think time will tell how much change there will be.

End of Era, Hopefully jobs are safe, decent guys who have helped me many a time over the years, be interesting to see how it runs now.

I emailed Centrado who replied saying they are taking over Holroyd on 1 June.

To all worried framers
Contrary to the emails that Arqadia sent last Thursday and Friday
F.W Holroyd Framing Supplies HAVE NOT ceased trading and remain open for business as always.
We have agreed to sell our business to Centrado Trading and they will take over on the 1st June 2018.
Centrado/Holroyd will continue trading as normal from our premises in Glasgow, ALL the staff are being retained by Centrado and nothing will change.
I have had strong words with the MD of Arqadia and he assures me that a correction and apology will be sent by close of business this evening retracting the fact that we have ceased trading.

Retiring???? not a chance (far too young!!!!)
I am being kept on as Centrado's Northern Sale rep for the next three years and Nicola will continue to be employed, probably until the end of the summer. to help during the transition period.
