Hello All!
Hope you are all well
A photographer here getting into framing.
Been doing photography for many years and suddenly got the opportunity to buy a complete set up of kit for framing.
So picking up the following this weekend..
Morso F Cutter
Cassese CS79 underpinner
Logan Elite Mount cutter plus oval cutters etc
Huge amount of other tools and mouldings, mount boards et etc... too much to list
There's plenty of stuff to practice on and learn.
Looking to print plenty of new prints for our home and frame them whilst learning, do some courses and see where it takes us?
So much variety and opportunity in framing and there's lots to explore, learn and develop into different fields.
I am looking forward to reading through the forum and seeing all the wonderful projects you all do.
All the best
Andy

Hi Andy,
Nice to have you with us. A good first move is to let some suppliers know that you are there and get some catalogues and price list, just so that you get to understand what things cost. There will be a learning curve and you will probably have some question, but the forum is a good place to ask those questions, so feel free to do so when you are ready. A lot of us on the forum started out as newbies and are now those who are helping today's newbies with expert advice. A great place to learn, grow and make friends. Enjoy!

Re: Just starting out!
Thanks for all the comments everyone, got all the kit now and set up, now to figure it all out and start practicing!
Got a crash course on a few basics but probably best looking for a course nearby if possible?
We are in the northwest just below the lakes on the Fylde coast, always great t0o meet fellow friendly framers nearby.
Thanks again
All the best.

I bought my morso last summer from a studio in south lakes their framer
had retired and they could not get a replacement, they asked me-living
in east Manchester would I be interested in the job! a bit of a daily commute!
with this in mind I imagine there is a market opening for someone
good luck
