Hi Eddie,
I'm based in the North West and use Sisslings, Dublin, Ashworths in Belfast and Arqadia Bedford. Ordering online from the latter I usually get my stuff in 4 days. Irish based is usually 24-48 hrs.
There are many others, Scopas, Simons has a NI. rep. I guess you will find the odd deal from various reps- but I am more than happy with these 3. When I first set up 18 months ago Ashworths flew Kevin over from Nottingham to set up my machines, and he flew back the same day.A&T's offer a quality service.
Other framers may favour other companies- I have found these 3 spot on, and when you start trying to save a pound here and there, I think you can end up wasting precious time with too many accounts and catalogues.

Good point, Hoops! Eddie, it pays to develop a strong relationship with maybe three or four suppliers, and to place most of your business with them.Hoops wrote:...when you start trying to save a pound here and there, I think you can end up wasting precious time with too many accounts and catalogues.
For myself, I deal mainly with Glenwood (superb service and very friendly and helpful!), Sisslings, Arqadia, and Quality Wood Mouldings: QWM's vellum moulding range is well worth checking out, they carry Artcare mountboard, and I believe that they also offer speciality framing glass.
It is no harm to have catalogues from other suppliers, so that you have an awareness of other styles of moulding, for the occasion when you are looking for something "out of the ordinary" for a special job or a mirror.
