Slack pedal cable on CS88

Post by Bagel Framer »

Hi,

Can someone recap for me please how to go about fixing a slack pedal on the CS88?

The wedge has got stuck exiting the distributor block but that will come out.

Thanks

Here is the manual

Very last page is a exploded diagram, looks like you have to take off the central cover, Covering the pulleys, haven't taken my off, the adjustment if any I would imagine, would be there

A possible explanation for this could be that the wedge jammed in the receiver block has also locked the hammer blade into a jammed position which would prevent the return spring from returning the hammer to it's normal position and at the same time also raising the pedal to it's normal position as well. Hence you are wondering why the cable has not raised the pedal to it's normal position, please let me know if my guess is correct.
