Sunny and dry up here in the North after gale force winds yesterday, but very cold. Ferries are all mucked up, ours now leaves at 1.45 am tonight/Saturday morning. All being well we won't end up on the beach at Blackpool.
Some friends of ours who left last night had a very long and choppy crossing to Birkenhead.

You guys are a bunch of wieners!
In January we had a total of 34 inches of snow. That is just about average for around here. There is, maybe, 18 inches of the stuff still on the ground.
On the positive side, I am delighted that I don’t have to mow the lawn.

Banging on about the bloody weather is a national pastime over here.

It's written in the Magna Carta.
btw. It's got worse in my neck of the woods. Snowy flakes flying about.

All weather here has been cancelled until further notice.
Every night on the weather map one of those black lines goes straight through our area.

It's brass monkeys in the workshop tonight. I'm half tempted to turn on the hot press and leave it open!
