Checked my phone this morning. Working as normal. Came back a hour or two later and couldn't get a peep out of it.
Tried charging it. Wouldn't charge.....

Panic. These days you're virtually knackered without it.

Went online to grab a new one. The old one wasn't super-expensive.

Finally found one (it's very complicated these days). Placed order.

Decided to take the back off the old one. Took the battery out and put it back in. It switched on as normal after that.

Let's hope that while I have a spare one it will never go wrong again.

Same sort of thing happens with my brand new all singing and dancing TV.

Purchased just before Christmas from John Lewis. I mainly buy from J L because of the after sales service and extra guarantee. In spite of paying the extra fee for installation I have had the engineer out twice to solve faults and I am still getting problems.

The only way I can get it to fire up is to scramble behind the TV and TV table, switch it off at the mains, give it a few mins' and then it will come on. I am arguing for a change of set but J L are saying they will not replace until it's unrepairable
