😊going to study all of your posts to find out how! It’s a nice point driver though and I like that it can be used to fit stretched canvasses into outer mouldings without having to buy special brackets of various sizes.

Hi Fitz,

Fitting canvases into frames is quite a popular use for the multimaster point gun, the gallery framing shop where I was trained often did that. You will find so many uses for the multimaster, very possibly many may be unique to you! There are different view about this, not everyone glues stacked mouldings together and some like to leave gaps between the mouldings. However, because I like to hand finish my stacked mouldings, mine are a close enough fit to be able to glue them in place together. This prevents movement which can crack the hand finishing and spoil the appearance. When I can easily fix the frames invisibly together with narrow crown staples, I like to do this.

I build up my stacked moulding frames from the outside inwards and the next moulding hides the staples, which have fastened the previous frame in place. These staples are like little hidden clamps, which hold everything in place while the glue sets, but there are many ocassions where frames cannot be clamped together by staples because not enough of the previous moulding is accessible to the staples. This is where an alternative is necessary and quite often this alternative is to use the multimaster. It's quick, it's easy and gets the job done! Very often, it is necessary to position the multimaster points in to one frame before fixing the previous frame. It is possible to insert the screws even when access is to a reccessed position between two mouldings. I hope that you will find this suggestion helpful.

Mark.
