That's it rub it in - just because you have got yours. But I had it first! Ha ha.

Lovely picture and had a quick look at the Mad About website- very impressed.

Looks good - do you have a separate compressor just for the cmc?

yup, single cylinder bambi - would be too far to run a line from through the workshop. - new bambi would probably work out cheaper anyway

we'll be readying the respirators for "cardboard lung" - although i find alphamat artcare doesn't go furry as much as other board

Congratulations Mary & Grahame!

Your new baby looks good. I hope you will have fun 'playing' with it!

Remember, you are allowed to play with it non-stop for only one week, then its back to regular work and the CMC only gets used for productive jobs after that!

I look forward to hearing about your new adventures!

I have no idea what all this talk about 'cardboard hell' and furry mats is. I've been an Alphamat user for about 20 years and have never experienced any of that! Maybe it's a combination of Alphamat and Gunnar???

Edit:

With all the "Video Jukebox" stuff, I'm feeling very pleasantly nostalgic at the moment. This thread has put me in mind of certain '70's TV shows. Between this and Crofter Pat's ideas about video, perhaps we could follow in the footsteps of Tony Curtis and Roger Moore, and start up our own TV show: "The Incorrigibles." :)

It's great to see it has arrived at last, and what a beast, I bet Grahame can't wait to get stuck in, and you ofcourse Mary, but somehow I don't think you will get a look in. Now all we want is for Birdman to get his machine and then we will all be happy, and look forward to the sarga of the CMC.

Yeah. Grahame's itching to get his hands on it. He's almost got the madaboutmounts website ready to roll on the 28th. We spent yesterday morning after the machine arrived rearranging the shop so customers go nowhere near it. Unfortunately we lose some wall space for readymades, but we are going to offer on the spot mountcutting so don't need space for mounts. By the end of the year we should be able to clear away all the art materials - the last will be going on eBay- (most of the discontinued cardmaking materials sold successfully on eBay) and move Val to the back of the shop, nearer the workshop. We've ordered badges for the staff to wear. On Wednesday Joe and the Scottish rep arrive and Nico joins them on Thursday. Very excited about it all. Just hope the reality lives up to the expectation. :)

Run up the flags, open the champagne, our baby has arrived and it's a girl. We're going to call her Val.

Yes the Valiani finally arrived at 6 last night just as we were heading out of the door to the Guild meeting - see seperate thread. Opened it this morning to get the box out of the way and it's now sitting on the counter waiting to receive Luca's attention next Wednesday.

No pictures yet because it looks so sad with it's oxygen cut off (it's not connected to the compressor) but we look forward to making it dance next week.

Happy Easter everyone :)
