What Wizard software version are you using???

Post by zanart »

Hi

Question to all Wizard Users - What software version are you using??

I am on 5.3 and have been for a long while. Have been told since last June new software was imminent.

Thanks

5.3 here.

Considering the debossing kit in a half hearted sort of way too. Not sure what sort of call there would be for debossing over the shop counter, other than corporate, unless we pushed it, but a debossed line instead of V-Groove is a lot quicker and might be more subtle. imho they should stick a pen in it ;) Might be good for putting folds in boxes too.

Both of those are rather old - 5.4 was released in October of 2006, and 5.5 was released back in August of 2007. I'd double check with Sam on that, and I'll check over here to see what the situation is - sometimes we hold international releases a bit later in order for the translations and such to catch up, but there's no way it'd be a couple of years out of date with the US version.

In response to my email Sam from Framers Corner replied yesterday to say she was sending me the latest software. It may be worth you doing the same if you haven't already.

Only in the prefs settings, I think.

It's a shame it's not possible to mix units when entering them. Cutting a mat to put a 6 x 4 inch photo into a 300 x 240 mm frame means doing the maths. I thought that was what computers were for.

yeah, danni or steve (sorry cant remember which) said they'd put in a software request for that a couple of versions back
The metric/imperial toggle necessity seems to be an issue unique to the UK.
Maybe we ought to go and whine at them again on the wizard forum ;)

Just tried to call but guess you are busy enjoying the sunshine this lovely Friday afternoon!
Just to let you know we decided to skip the 5.4 upgrade as there were only minor changes which didn't affect our customers, but we did write to you all last Nov asking if you wanted the 5.5 upgrade (in with the info about the debossing kit you have been thinking about!)
We decided to do upgrades this was rather than sending them automatically becuase we have over 100 machines being used and inevitably half the discs we were sending weren't getting used!

I am sending you a 5.5 disc out today, enjoy your weekend.
