My name is Richard Norman, for 25 years my wife and I were professional bookbinders, we ran a system of craft workshops at Downside Abbey in England.
3 years ago we took early retirement and moved out here to the south of France.
We used large amounts of dutch metal leaf for one thing or another and the website at www.gold-vault.com is devoted wholly to this material.
I did not set out to attract picture framers, it just happened, so now I am looking for links to framing websites that have a craft flavour to them if you know what I mean.
Anyway John thank you again for the mention.
By the way at the gold-vault website is a good free manual on the subject of composition gold leaf and how to achieve various antique and other distressed finishes.
