Love it! Got a sheet of each colour from Centrado in and still haven't found a job for them yet!

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
That's a fine bit of picture-framing you've done there.
From what I'm looking at, you've made a frame with a flat bare wood moulding and painted it to colour match the artwork.
Very clever!
Did you mix the paint from artist's tubes or other?
How was the red spacer/slip done? Is that the 'flouro' mountboard you were talking about?

Thanks!
@vintage frames, a tin of F&B this time.
Yes, the flouro spacer is mountboard glued to foamboard and cut on the CMC.

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
A regular customer asked a while ago to frame the covers of 16 record sleeves (old fashioned 45s) side by side. My initial calculations put the glazing size at over 3 metres wide and no more than 30 cm high. Customer realised the space he had identified was too small. A rethink and another location in the house gave us a 4 x 4 for the sleeves, float mounted and raised up on 3mm foam core board. LJ Spoleto frame and a spacer lined with matching board to lift the AR70 above the sleeves.
A very pleased customer and a lot of satisfaction for us.

I very much like your two tone A219 frames you posted back in April, Fruitini. Simple but very effective finishing.

Thanks! Three-tone!! Such a versatile frame, lovely elegant shape, flat sections for easy masking and loads of rebate space. Wish it was available in more sizes!

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
Ah yes, I see the 3rd colour now, I thought it was a mount. I might get some and try something similar.

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
We completed this one yesterday. Canvas stretched over custom bars, wide wooden slip painted “dusty pink”, deep rebate oak frame, sub-frame inside and Lifetime acrylic glazing.
The outside dimensions of the frame are 1520mm x 1920mm - we checked it will go through the door.

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
A regular customer whose ancestor was the Scottish painter Erskine Nichol (1825-1904). He buys anything he finds of his online, brings it in and leaves it all up to me. This came in with a pretty rough gold hand painted mount. I decided it would be nice to reuse it, a nod to the past.

I like that a lot! What is the frame, please (I think I will want to use that)?

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
This one was for a good friend who gives us pretty much carte blanche to do what we like. These are postcards from an alphabetic range for a Christening gift which were going to be simply floated on 5mm foamcore. I measured up and somehow cut the frame not wide enough. Not sure how… (measure twice cut once
) It was gilded in moon gold before I realised the error of my ways…. I didn’t want to redo the frame so had to find a solution. I used the table saw to make a frame extension in the same style as the old LJ box range and found a cunning way to bend the cards and feed through 45° cuts in the backboard to reduce the overall width. A happy accident ultimately I think!

That looks great Fruitini! Is that an R+H ball moulding?

Re: THAT FRIDAY FEELING!
Thanks! Correct R&H C9 on top of A195. Perfect fit. Needs some precise calculations and mount border adjustments to set out the bobbles completely if working inside out. Starting with an exterior measurement first is definitely easier!

Fruitini, tip of the week! Can't believe I hadn't thought of it. Start from the outside.
We are frame makers after all.
