What type of print is it and what is the anticipated lifespan of it? Dopes the client expect it to stay flat?
If you are looking to a permanent picture frame job, vs disposable art, mounting directly to MDF is a very bad idea.

sorry mixing things up, I'm working on 370 gms inkjet canvas but will probably reduce the thickness or even the material for a print run,
just want a direct tape to fix the print to card, thanks

appreciate my methods aren't text book but I have to keep costs in the different elements really low or there no chance of this progressing to bigger & better forms of framing

I am then assuming that it is low end reproduction art. I would drape hinges from the top using fabric adhesive (PVA or EVA). Use whatever you want so long as it is weaker than the printed canvas.
