As a newcomer to Sheffield I am considering opening a framing business in Sheffield or anywhere in South Yorkshire region.
Interested to learn if any framing businesses for sale in the area or perhaps any home based or retail framers who might be interested in a partnership.
I do have a lot of experience and framing equipment.

Thank you

Where did you end up opening?

I'm also new to framing in Sheffield, though for me it's just a "side hustle" as the kids call it. I work out of my workshop too, practically in Barnsley.

One of the things I'm finding is when people come to me with something they want framed I don't have any moulding or mat board and I don't have enough to put an order together for Centrado etc ... I imagine that's not a problem for those doing it as their main business, you just hold stock knowing you'll use the rest at a later date, but space is a real issue for me so i can't do that (or tie up the cash in holding stock tbh)

If you turnover is low and space is an issue then you could buy on chop from Centrado or Lion, this is efficient but costs more, maybe add some or all of the carriage charge to the job. Keep some glass and mountboard in stock
