Hi All,

This is a very minor issue. Can any of you wise owls help me please?

Trying the bevel cut on the Futura, I've spent some time adjusting the undercuts and overcuts to get the front of the mount looking right.

There's a slight issue in that, where the two cuts cross at the back, an indent appears and this makes corner look incomplete/notched slightly.

Please see attached pics showing
1. the back of the mount, where the cuts cross,
2. the front, showing the resulting problem,
3. an ideal corner

Is this a case of the blades not being sharp enough? Or must I do something else?

Hi, on your other post you say as per the manual you are using Tech D blades, I haven't checked the manual but very clearly Keencut advised me to use Tech S for bevel cutting and Tech D for squaring the board which is what I do, so I would suggest Tech S (which only have one usable cutting end)

Are you using a slip mat?
Pictures are a bit blurry so hard to tell but looks as though you just need to adjust the relevant stop another mm or two.

Does the fall out actually fall out … with no help from you?

It looks like the end of cut is undercut.

Hi NTG999, I had just opted for Tech D based on the "know your blades" section of the manual, but you could be right...I assumed the Tech D would be just as effective for the bevel. I'll try a Tech S blade and that might nail it.

I have been using a slip mat. I'm a new user, so I'm still in the novice stages of use.

I had been adjusting the tolerances, but the thing is the over/under cuts are fine, it's just an issue on certain corners where the crossing of the cuts causes a notch. I'm thinking it could just be I need a new blade!

Yeah, sure does. That's what makes the cut seem pretty sound otherwise. None of that coaxing-it business.

It may well just be I need a new blade.

Try a new blade and a new slip mat
