Glass storage

Hello all

Just wondering how you all store your glass offcuts? I use anti-reflective glass pretty much exclusively so try not to throw too much away, but that means I'm left with offcuts of all shapes and sizes and it's currently stacked in a corner getting dusty and dangerous.

I really need to get it off the floor and onto some sort of cart. I've looked at glass stillage but none of it seems quite fit for purpose. What do you all do?

The usual practice is the keep them bunging the workshop up for thirty years and then chuck'em.

Believe me, you will always have more small bits than small jobs.

I keep the old glass boxes and protective plastic/paper and store all the offcuts in them.

I just store the offcuts with the full sheets and work my way through them when a suitable size is needed.
I normally have around 4 or 5 pieces on the go at any one time.
Once they are smaller, maybe around 300mm wide, I cut them up and put them in the glass bin.

We're the same - all glass and mountboard under 300mm gets binned/recycled

With AR Glass I keep a few of the original 60 x 40 boxes for storing off cuts so no glass on glass storage.

The previous owner left two Ikea benches for TV. I couldn’t see any good storage solutions in them until I turned them!

The anti reflective glass to the right wrapped in the plastic it’s delivered in. Float glass to the left. (I probably should have some board between them.)

I bought a cabinet (can’t find it right know) also Ikea and placed the two benches on top.

I’m really happy (and a bit proud) how it all turned out.
