Keencut System 4000, or not.

Morning,

I've opened my own framing shop after 10 years of working for someone else. I'm currently cutting glass by hand but want a wall mounted cutter. I previously used a C&H Advantage. I can't see any of those second hand and unfortunately I'm limited by my budget.
There's a few Keencut System 4000 available - built like a tank so they say - but i'm worried about the availability of spare parts, especially the glass cutting wheel, which appears to be plastic and surely brittle after being 30 years old? I called Keencut and they say that some parts may be compatible but couldnt give me a straight answer.
The other alternative is a Fletcher 8400 but the need to mount it on a wall could be a problem.
There is a Keencut 5000 available on ebay for £400 but I couldnt get answers to my questions.

You can still get the glass wheel and keencut could have told you

What you won’t get is the twin wheel MDF cutter, but you don’t need MDF, there’s plenty of better stuff that cuts with a Stanley type blade, like Corricor & artbak

The machine was discontinued 30 years ago so you shouldn’t be paying much for one at all anyway. If I were you I’d get one and upgrade whenever you can, but only if it’s half the price of the 5000 because that’s a good price - if it’s in good condition.

I decided to go for a Keencut Excalibur 5000 in the end. It's well used and involved a long drive to collect.

You won't go wrong with a Excalibur 5000. Worth the trip.
I transported mine from Ireland.
