Hello hive mind.
If a customer asks for frames that are simple to open the back of to switch prints on a semi-regular basis, what fixings would you use for the back of the frame? Ready-made ones often have tabs you can slide into a groove or whatever for easy access, but how about on custom sized frames.
I've had customers ask for either spring clips or flexis, but is there something better?
Many thanks.

In the ready made frame market it's just flexi tabs to close and reopen. I never understand how this works, do you hinge the first piece and let them figure out the switching out next time?? Or do you just supply a bespoke size ready made and leave them to add the "artwork"?

This would depend on the size of the frame but you could think about using a piece of plywood for the frame backing. Sand it smooth around the edges and include some packing to bring it up to level with the back of the frame.
Then with it's rigidity, you should be able to get away with 4 x brass turn-buttons from Lion screwed into the frame.
