FramR - unable to subscibe

Post by chaos »

I tried to renew my subscription to FramR unsuccessfully.
I click the 'Subscribe' button but the payment gateway does not open, just replaces the current page.
I tied to access the FramR Help page but a popup informed me 'The server cannot be reached. A connection to the internet is required to access Help'.
My internet connection is working well and FrameR runs through the opening checks seemingly normally.

I contacted the 'Help Desk' (Ha!) who informed me their server was not down and other framers are able to subscribe.
When I open the Settings page, many of the options are greyed out including Payment Options. I understand some of these are greyed out as my subscription is not active but I cannot understand Payment Options not being active.

I don't see to be able to Log out and log back in.

Does anyone have any ideas? Getting a tad grumpy.

Have you tried updating it in Microsoft Store?

Another way is to try uninstalling it from your PC. Restart the PC then reload it from Microsoft Store.

We had an issue a few months back - worked perfectly on one PC but not the other. John at the Helpdesk suggested the above fix. Worked perfectly and hopefully it will sort it out for you too.

Thank you both!

I had done both of those things to no avail.

Got more grumpy, loaded it onto another puter, whilst at home, paid my subscription, did what I needed.

Carried out a speed test (FramR suggested my broadband speed was too low) 700+Mbps upload & download in the house but 50Mbps in the workshop so I think the helpdesk may have been more helpful than I gave them credit for. All sorted now - wired everything!

50Mb is plenty fast enough. I have that at home and stream to multiple tvs simultaneously and play online games, it should be able to handle updating your subscription 😁
