Morso help please

Hi
soo… I changed blades today , other set off to get sharpened .
The set that are off were cutting ok but not a perfect smooth cut but were ‘seated’ fine ( they l didn’t stick when down )
Fitted newly sharpened set and they kept sticking down , the cut was pretty perfect though !
Anyways I faffed about loosening / moving / re tightening until it wasn’t sticking on down cut … but now the cuts aren’t great ( see photos )

To be honest it was a bit hit or miss cutting before I swapped over there would usually be as per the photos a small chunk pushed/ removed from vertical edge but I was just blaming the blades on needing sharpened.

If I move them forward and get a good cut then the blades stick down , but move them back a teeny tiny bit and I get the cuts shown in photos 🤦‍♀️

So I’m thinking either BOTh sets of blades are done ? Or I’m missing something I should be tightening or loosening or checking?
Is it correct that the bottom blades/guide ( the part closest to the sharp blades when down ) is slightly misaligned ? See photos of the bit I mean , and blades and the cuts it’s currently doing

Thanks in advance for any tips or suggestions.

After you've refitted the top blades, if you lower them right down and lock them in place you should loosen and readjust the bottom blades (as per the manual) to be as close as possible to the top blades without catching on them. Did you readjust the bottom blades in this way?

When you fit the top blades, they should meet perfectly on the front vertical face. If you pass a finger over the front there should not be a noticeable meeting of the blades it should be seamless. From the photo there looks like there is some damage to the right hand blade on the front vertical face. Is this giving you an issue? These blades are dated 2-86, as in February 1986. They may have seen some action in that time. If there is any issue with this set, I would invest in a new set, you won't regret it.

I can’t get the bottom blade bolts to shift at all, but will give it another go.!!
Are the bottom set ok to be like this or should they really be straight ? See photo
Yea I noticed the tiny dings on that blade , I’ll wait till my other set is back refit and check

Thanks for the advice , much appreciated

The bottom blade positions will depend entirely on the positioning of the top blades. I mean that the bottom blades must be set to sit up to the top blades and not the other way around. I've checked mine and they look slightly off too, but they sit perfectly against the top blades without touching.
Make sure that you're using the correct allan keys. Metric ones I would assume, being a Danish machine. If they're really stuck tight, try some release spray overnight, usually does the trick. I can recommend some cheap kevlar gloves if you're nervous about working around the blades.

Ref bottom blades as Justintime suggests soak overnight with penetrating oil then use a decent Allen key, I use these Unior ones

Not suggesting you buy from here as cheaper on eBay but to give the idea

Some moulding is just really soft and catches even if the blades are fine so double check by trying another moulding.

If the bottom blades are that tight i would recommend removing the top blades before you try giving the bottom blades any force to remove as if you slip with force next to the top blades you could be in a lot of trouble,
Good luck

Thank you all very much for all the tips, I’ll work through them ! And also stick the newly sharpened ones back on when they come back next week …. If all that doesn’t work then I’ll sell a kidney and buy some new blades 🤦‍♀️😂
