Time to stop lurking

Post by Rinzleristron »

Hi,

I've been a member of the forum since 2021 but this is only my 2nd post.

I'm an amateur framer based in South Wales, I've been framing for a few years, fitting projects in around work and an unlucky series of life events, all for friends, family and my own collection. I was hoping to make the leap into the profession but unfortunately, had to put that on hold.

I'm looking to finally push forward as I've a genuine love of framing and so thought it time to be a bit more visible and involved. I'm also aware that I've a huge amount to learn and I'm sure most would agree (?) this is a great place for advice.

I've posted my 2 most recent projects to "That Friday Feeling" on the "The Good, The Bad and The Ugly sub-forum. Any feedback and pointers are greatly appreciated.

 for stepping out of the shadows! Let's hope more shadow walkers are encouraged by this.
It's a much more fun and interesting place when more people are present.
Hello from "the other" Newport.

Welcome, Rinzleristron, and Yay to Newport - I've visited many times over the years, albeit not recently. Congrats to your rugby team this afternoon - they may not have beaten the Irish but I gather they did good!

Hello from "the other" Newport.
Thanks for the welcome. Had to do it at some point, not polite to eavesdrop whilst rustling in the bushes. By "the other", I'll take it you mean "safer"

Newport, they say that things get worse before they get better, certainly the case recently but it's a great place with bags of character.

Apparently so, only saw snippets as I'm more a League man, so I'll be watching the Super League tomorrow but certainly better than recent form

By your definition, the better one? :D
It has many definitions, "little Newport", the one where men come on holiday wearing salmon coloured shorts (and cricket jumpers over the shoulders, with collars raised...). A mystical magical place that turns into Chelsea-on-Sea for the Summer...
