Hi there,
I have just purchased an F Morso second hand and would like to know where is best to get it serviced. I'm based in Berkshire, UK. Any suggestions appreciated.

Speak to Peter at Framers Equipment in Northampton.
Or ask away here if you want to do it yourself. I guess it depends what state it is in and how well it is working but it's a fairly basic piece of equipment which requires a good clean grease/oil/ptfe spray and some freshly sharpened/new blades.

Mine was bought new in 1984 and has hardly seen a drop of oil since. Still works as well as the day it arrived from Ashworth & Thompson.
The key is:
If it ain't broke don't mend it.

I bought a 2nd hand F from a guy that had kept it in a basement for years. I cleaned all the gunk off the metal with some white spirit & a scotch pad, applied some machine wax to keep it from going rusty, used it for a couple of months and then had the blades sharpened.
That's it.
