Font Type for writing under photos

Hi there, anyone have suggestions for font type which will be visible under the picture used to name people? Thanks!

I would say it depends on the type of picture.
- Is it vintage or modern? If vintage, a serif font would probably be best, or even a script. If modern, it would probably be a sans-serif font.
- Formal or informal? If formal, maybe a roman (upright) font. If informal, a looser font might suit.
- Adults or children? If it's a fun picture of children, a playful font might suit, albeit nothing too wacky.
Generally I would avoid anything too unusual as otherwise the text might draw the eye away from the picture.

You could try experimenting on the Google fonts page https://fonts.google.com/
The fonts can be downloaded and embedded if you don’t have the one you want on your system.
