Can’t explain see pictures

My brain is spinning and frozen at the same time. I’m sure I have attached similar before. Now I don’t know.

I have already cut and glued the moulding.

It’s printed mass production ”art” so if there is a solution but not by all the rules it’s ok by me.

If you are asking, how do I attach the art into the frame, here is one answer.

Use offset hardware. They come with one or two holes, depending on the manufacturer, for the attachment of the "single step" bent metal strap that is screwed into the frame. They come in sizes from 1/8" to 1 1/4" (3-30mm).

This is a link to who I have used for years. There should be similar EU distributors with similar products.

I would take it off the deep bars and remount it on shallower ones. (20mm?).

These things are done so that they can be hung without a frame and the deep stretchers give them more 'presence'.

You can use offsets but on a narrow moulding you run the risk of the hardware being visible from the sides.

Option 1, as suggested by Jerome; canvas offsets but as mentioned may be visible
Option 2, as suggested by Prospero; re-stretch on slimmer stretcher bars
Option 3, re-make using a deeper frame

I would be on option 3

If it's not valuable and you run it past the customer, you could shoot Fletcher multipoints into the raised canvas/stretcher and screw those to the frame. Much in the same way as you might make a stacked picture frame of different mouldings.

If the frame was wider it would be less of a problem but as it is you’ll see that stretcher from the side. If that’s not a problem and you just want to fix it in place then framers points in to the side of the canvas, secured to the frame with staples.

If that is a problem - and it would be for me, then re-stretch over something that the rebate will swallow or wet mount it to a board*

*AKA “Binghaming” it :-)

Canvas offsets.

If you want loads you can get them off Lion or any of the other suppliers.

If you want to do just this pic then pack of 10 for £1.95 inc postage off ebay.

If they are a bit too big or small just adjust with pliers.
