Logan 750-1 squaring arm

Morning all (or evening),

I've just been gluing some steel strips to the squaring arm of my logan 750-1 to put back into one piece, if anyone has this unit do they think it's very liable to break or am I missing something? I'm assuming when you use it the squaring arm is only supported by the mount cutter and sits above the work surface, it's only held in with a groove and single adjustment screw. I have searched the forum to make sure this isn't a duplicate post in case it's been asked before.
