Hi all

Does anyone know of any suppliers of Deep rebate moulding? I am looking for a " range" that covers such colours as white, black, light wood, dark wood, black etc.

I currently have a sample for Lions L703 with a 26mm rebate and good choice of colours, although my previous post on moulding damage has suggested a need to find another range.

Do any of you fellow framers know of any other suppliers and range numbers.

thanks

Steve

I have been using the black version of the lion moulding for a while. Only problem is the final cut tends to chip the bottom corner. I place a thin piece of paper between the moulding and fence and make the final cut very slowly. Works 9/10. The finish does seem to be a lot more brittle than others.

Look at the new Simons 'Phoenix' range - moulding refs are PHOE-0001 etc etc.

Have a look at these from Mainline Mouldings (near Nottingham) stock Nos are:

200-0036, 200-0037, 200-0038, 200-0039, 200-0040, 200-0041 & 200-0042

These cover various wood shades, gold, silver and black with a 33mm rebate. Our friendly local wholesaler (Mitrecraft in Lincoln) stocks them all by the single length or packed in 4's. (min order to Mainline for FOC carriage is £150)

Also we use Arqadia 307 453 167 (black), 307 453 157 (ivory), 307 453 490 (teak) and 307 453 492 (walnut) with a 28mm rebate. This range is also stocked by Mainline, Wessex and Neilsen. It seems to come from same supplier abroad as we have bought from 3 of these sources and it always has the same manufacturer's label stuck on the pack. However, Arqadia sell it at the lowest price.

Hope these help.

John.
