Hi ya Happy new year and I hope that you are all well I have been asked by a customer if I can replicate something I think I know what frame it is but I can figure out how its been done unless I am thinking of the wrong frame.

I think the picture is a canvas which is why I am stamped as to how you get the floating effect.

I have attached a picture any help would be great many thanks Anthony.

Is it definitely floating or is it maybe something like Centrado 2651WH with a small black slip.

Yes thats the shape frame that I think it is but I can’t work out how it sits to make the canvas float.

Maybe it’s fixed to a board covering the back of the frame.

Ask the customer to bring it in so you can examine it.

I would use an L float profile - a black one or a plain one painted.

Then it's just a question of making the top frame to drop over the float frame.

Or... Fix a piece of sq timber of suitable thickness to the back of the frame and fix a stout board to the back of that.
Paint the inside black. Then drop the canvas in and screw from the back.

Looks like Lion 'St Ives' L3065 to me. I'd glue and staple a wood spacer/fillet to the back (L2643) and screw the canvas to the spacer. A 20mm canvas sits in this recess perfectly.
