I got a bit carried away on Abebooks the other week, and the upshot is that i bought a different edition of a book i already have -
The Complete Manual of Wood Finishing, by Frederick Oughton
Its aimed at furniture makers but offers a good grounding in all the more traditional methods of wood finishing - staining, waxing, French polishing; gilding; oil finishes; fuming etc etc
I'm giving it away to whoever can pay the postage and give the best answer to the tie-breaker question.
PM or email me and tell me in 12 words or less
