Hello guy's,
I am currently at the hobby stage of framing and would like any suggestions on what framing manuals I could buy. Hoping to get a better understanding of the terminology and technics within framing.

Many Thanks :?

Hi V-nail,

Welcome to the forum.

A good starting point for framing literature is the FATG. See their book list at: -

Hi V Nail,

Welcome to the world of picture framing. Like most (not all) framers around today, they all started this profession as a hobby and worked form home, either in a shed, dining room, garage or spare bedroom. As John says, a great sourc is the Fine Art Trade Guild's book store, just ring 020 7381 616 and ask for Moira, she is in charge of books, etc...

One piece of advice I would give is to go on a course, and in your area, you could contavt Ian Kenny, from the Kenny Galleries. Let us know hpow you progress.

Thanks for your support. I will take the advice of getting myself on a course with my list of Q's, that will hopefully iron out some of my hot spots.

Cheers again
