Hello to all the Old Wise Ones I enquire of your vast resources on how to mount, encapsulate or otherwise an Artist's Jigsaw that a client has brought in. I have used the adage "Yes I can frame it "with the hope that the Old Wise Ones may be able to offer their sagely advice. It is still intact in one piece, has a grey cardboard base, approximately A4 in size, brightly coloured in red and oranges hues. Value at purchase was about 10 pound Stering, or NZ $30. Artist is not quite yet in the Monet catergory but could be sometime after his death. However the client just wants it framed with options being No1: no matt/borders and no glazing, No.2 is no matt/borders but with glazing or No.3 is matt/borders and with glazing, just about covers it all. They are coming back later next week with their final choice by which time I should have a solution on how to mount the jigsaw (thanks to OWO). Thanks for your help,

I am a bit mystified as to the term 'Artists' jigsaw. Do you mean an artist has done a painting and chopped it up to make a jigsaw?

Maybe the artist painted on top of the jigsaw?

PVA it onto a bit of mount board that’s a bit bigger than the puzzle (put something flat and heavy on it while it dries).
Then frame it how ever you like.

By the way less of the old and wise, I don’t need reminding that I’m on the wrong side of twenty something and as my wife will tell you I am far from wise!

Thanks to the Wise Ones for the info and after I had made the post went searching for Jigsaw and found that thread with all the useful information (as you mention I should have done that in the first place), ahh the wonder of hindsight combined with the dreaded curse of a failing memory . The Artist does an original work and then turns it into a jigsaw puzzle hence my terminology of Artists Jigsaw.
