I have a soft science background around contamination control, the warnings around Swine Flu warnings I would not take lightly, some of the others warnings about contamination threats over the years I would have taken indifferently……… Swine Flu is a lot more serious.
All that said I hope it fizzles out…..very soon, the longer it goes on the greater the possibility of contamination spreading.
That's the " truffle " with making a joke, there's always someone willing to hog the lime light ! Never doing anything rash. Talking of a rash...where's my oinkment ?
There's nothing I can do if it don't get through, blame it on the Pony Express !
There's nothing I can say if it's gone a stray, blame it on the Pony Express !
I suppose it is easy for us to scoff when these situations occur and say - "All that fuss and nothing came of it..... ". It's because of all the fuss that these dangerous diseases are kept under control. If it were not for the efforts of the WHO and others who knows what might happen.
It the rate this contamination is spreading that is cause grave concern.
Then again it hasn’t reached Ireland YET….and as Michael O’Leary (Ryanair) said yesterday it is a contamination of countries with “slums” ……..I don’t agree with his analysis….I’m not sure if he was only joking….. I hope he was….
just to put some perspective on the situation approx 35,000 people die each year in the US from the regular flu virus.
So far one infant has died in the States. Haven't been given any info on the type of individuals that have died in Mexico....another case of the mainstream news not really doing their job. One part of me thinks its the government trying to look as if they are worth what they cost us by "managing" the pandemic after the mess they've caused financially.

Sorry to sound grumpy but i've had a PIGof a day!
Bad News Today , Good News To-morrow. And in the meantime divert attention from last weeks cock-up.
What i find strange is that the world is rife with
heart disease
AIDS
cancer
alcoholism, drug addiction, smoking diseases
and indeed
a philosophy of living that ensures destruction of the world that sustains us
yet we get all this about swine flu
how many people died today of the above list?
I guess we're all used to it...
oh dear, gettin cynical, i'll go for the media / government smoke screen theory, nice to have a break from the recession!
