This week instead of framing I has "mostly" bin organizin our Groups living history & Battle re-enactment, As Group leader & battle comander it has all fallen to me.
anyone else here had to hire loos, first aid, get a beertent & bar, licence for event, & get a field sprayed, find, wait for it,,,,,,,,,,, space hoppers for comedy jousting, get some vikings, & assorted welsh middle ages people & sundry nights of varied repute  its been hell, (or is that Hull ) Also sort out my armour, swords & other " nice shiny pointy hitty smacky style things" from the loft

Any one wishing to see this spectacle in northampton on 13th & 14th June is welcome to join us at the beertent & have a laugh,
just the thought of getting vikings on horse shaped spacehopper's hitting each other with foam pipe lagging has me giggling insanely  ,

any other sugetions welcome :giggle:

Nice idea  , Hobbit on ice sounds wicked, But I shall stick to the dark age & medieval stuff thanks enough stuff in history without fantasy :) , re-enactment is a great stress buster after a week in the workshop, this way First you hit them then drink with the people you have been hitting + get to camp & visit castles etc free, its a very sociable occupation with some really diverse characters taking part & also helps raise funds for restoration of historic buildings etc
