Frame a skateboard?

Post by stripethespringer »

Hi

Has anybody ever had the pleasure of framing a skateboard?

Can anyone give me any pointers...having never framed something like this before.

Much appreciated

Nope! Not sure that it would be a huge pleasure!
I would try to find a photo of some people skateboarding on ramps etc and have that printed large enough to provide a background in the frame and mount the skateboard on it. I would also offer to include a photo of the owner, with the skateboard in the frame too. You could use brass rods bent to shape so that the skateboard could be hooked onto them so that it could be removed if necessary. I would also make the frame 'openable' in one of the ways shown in Jim Millers book on framing objects.

If the owner only wanted to display the "artwork" on the board, you could lose the wheels. It would make life a lot easier.
