Advice - Euro 9009 / 9010 underpinner

I'm hoping to buy a Euro 9010 underpinner in the next month or two. It's from a friend who has retired. Generally it's in good condition and the price is reasonable, so I figure I'll go for it.

I'm led to believe that they were at one time a "top of the range" machine and was just wondering if anyone who has one, or used to have one can advise if getting one is a good idea.

I'm hoping to buy some spare parts when I get it against future servicing requirements. Any comments from our maintainance engineers please.

These were a great machine in their day. Well engineered easily serviced and very trouble free. Craig Finn (now a Nielsen Rep.) is your man for spare parts. You need to check the return springs in the hammer unit and also the 3 springs in the clamping cylinderother than that check the hammer itself for wear. Best of luck I think you will be pleased with your purchase.

Thanks David,

Your advice is most helpful and I have confirmed to the present owner that I will be buying it. I hope to fully refurbish it and obtain such spares as would be wise for future needs. I see no reason why it should not give me many years of use after replacing those parts which may be subject to waer and the effects of age.
