Mitring adhesive which one ?

Post by Keadyart »

I would appreciate your opinions on adhesives for joining frames -
I use Evo-stick wood glue and find it works fine, but I would like to know if anyone out there could recommend a suitable alternative, that they use,i.e. a tried and trusted brand that they have been using for "years".
I have only been framing for 2 years and would like guidance from some one with more experience.
Thanks
Brian

Hi Brian,
Just to let you know, the Gorilla Glue is real good. Although you need to practise with it and ensure your clamps are tight. The glue expands a fair bit!

Cheers

Drew, I have finally sourced a supplier for Gorilla glue, and will be getting some very soon.
How long do you leave your mitre before inserting wedge and removing from clamp?
Cheers
Brian
