Hi all,

My CS-79 will be looking for a new home from about the middle of this week. I friend has offered me his CS-88, so I'm up-grading.

The CS-79 is about 6 years old, I've owned it from new and it's ideal for someone just getting started. It was fitted with a new cable during the last year. I will be happy to demonstrate it joining both Ash and Oak, or anything else if required, to give the new owner the necessary confidence in the machine.

It is a relliable machine and in good mechanical working order. My asking price is £300 and the buyer collects.

This price will include a small starting stock of cassettes containing wedges and include a set of round clamping bungs which I bought as additional to the standard triangular bungs which it is normally supplied with. I will also clean and lubricate the machine while the new owner watches to familarise and teach how to keep it running smoothly.

Hi,

Can I make a suggestion put your underpinner on e-bay, I tried to sell my 4 year old CS79 on the forum about a month ago for £300 it did not sell so I put it on e-bay and got £320.00 for it withinn 6 days. So try it first and if all else fails take my advice
it will sell.

Adrian

Thanks Adrian,

I suspected it might not be all that easy to sell, but by offering it here first I might be helping one of our own forum members getting started.

It's still available. Sensible offers considered.

Available for £250, as I now need the space. At this price I will not be throwing in any wedges or the pair of round bungs which are to supplied as standard with this machine. The round bung holder will not fit my new machine so the holder is still included in this price.

I don't think anyone is likely to find a CS-79 regardless of condition any cheaper than this. This one is in great condition, has been well cared for and has not been used for production type framing. Buyer collects.

hello
I would like to buy your CS79

is it the one that can be turned round to work from the back and front of the frame?

as you describe I am a new forum member, just staring out in framing

I have an old pistorius underpinner which is even for me as a beginner rather crude
esp. on complicated mouldings it has bruised some moldings to the point of making them useless.....

I would not be able to get to Devon until the end of next week if thats OK with you

could we discuss the bungs, I suspect thats the equipment to pin the more complicated mouldings??

my email is Brian.m.clarke@gmail.com telephone 01295738535 if you would like to discuss

thanks for your consideration

brian

Hi,
I would also be interested in your CS79. Not in any way trying to gazump a sale. Iam in Porthleven, Cornwall, so could come and collect any time if it were still to be available.
I inherited an antiquated foot operated machine that is giving me problems as the hammer spring keeps kinking and jamming. Space is a premium so your machine would be ideal.

Regards
Dave

My CS-79 is no longer available.

Sorry Dave, but Bonbon got in first.

I hope you will be able to quickly locate another machine to suit your needs.
