STRUGGLING WITH MY UNDERPINNER (instruction please)

Can you help me with this dilema please?
I purchased a bucmatic 9000 underpinner from ebay at the end of last year, the chap who owned it previously showed me how to use it. All seemed well at the time and the quality was great.
After a few more months I finally got the workshop space I required and installed the machine, I had some orders to complete and was confident my new machines and I were up to the task. The morso worked fine as did the mount board cutter and keencut, however I struggled so much with the underpinner.
The foot opereated air ram seem to push the 45 closed at the bottom (for pinning) this opens the face 45 each time. I have tried to adjust the settings on the pinner to no avail...I dont seem to have enough hands and feet to compensate, or correct it....WHAT AND I DOING WRONG??
UnfortunetIy I don't remember the instruction I was giving at the time of purchase and have lost the details of the chap I purchased it from so I cannot contact him..
however I do remember his demonstration was fluid and skillful (and without the use of all hands and toes), this leads me to the conclusion that the machine is fine just problems with the operator ME!!
Does anyone know where I could get hold of the instruction manual for the bucmatic 9000, or advise me in anyway to improve the situation please....
