Cassese CS 299 Ultra

Post by deadgrateful »

Due to an unexpected turn of events and a change of business model we will no longer require an underpinner in our workshop. We bought the CS 299 (mk1) around 3 months ago and it has had a huge positive impact on our work flow. The clamping system is something I couldn't live without now, and it will fire 15mm wedges into even the hardest of oak mouldings. It is essentially the same as the newer mk2 version except that it lacks support wings (you'll need to either make your own as we did, or use support stands or a table) and the trigger is on the grip rather than a separate button on the side (something which I see as a positive). It really is in a different league than most other pinners, and is perfectly happy joining 1000's of frames a week.

Condition is great, with a few scratches and blemishes to the paintwork but nothing other than light wear (it was made around 7 years ago I believe). It has just been serviced and will come with a 6 month guarantee for peace of mind. Pictures will follow later today and it is available for pickup, or delivery on a pallet which will cost £60.

WE paid just under £1800 for it and it is in exactly the same condition as when it arrived. We are also throwing in our compressor (the make escapes me) which cost another £200. I'm asking £1500 for it which is think is a bit of a bargain, but I will listen to any sensible offers! Framers equipment is currently selling the same underpinner new for £3015 ex vat http://www.framersequipment.co.uk/casse ... ipment.htm.

Cheers,

Kris
