Seeking Advice on Pass-through float hinges.

Hi everyone
I'm floating a reasonably heavy work of art measuring 750 x 280mm and would like to know how many pass through float hinges I should use.

I was thinking of Two xtra strength hinges at the top, two in the middle and a couple of 'Z' hinges at the bottom.

You did not exactly say how heavy the paper art is. If you are not sure that 2 hinges will do, 3 - 4 can also be used along the top.

If any side or bottom hinges are used, they are to be used only for positioning and not support.

Hi,

For heavier art i use Gummed Linen Hinging Tape (Archival Quality)
This is a lot stronger than the paper, but wont break as easily if the art work falls, resulting in the art ripping and not the T Hinge.

Thanks Stephen. I've made a T hinge double strength by fixing two strips together.
