First sorry fro my English and any mistakes that I may do.
We live and work at Greece Corfu (many of you may even have come) and we inherited the business family.
A shop with gifts and homeware and a workshop that is doing frames for over 40 years now.

But now the store and the workshop needs renovation. We hired someone to do the sketch of the new store and workshop.
But because all of you are working many years you have the experience that I don't have in 2 years that I am working with frames ... I want to ask for any tricks on how to set the workshop
Eg. the working place must have 250cm * 90cm dimencion
The frames should places vertically and not at the ground.
I saw a video that a guy brushed the picture with a brush in order to avoid the dust or any pieces, or another one used air pistol.
And if you can do I need pictures because I can't translate all the equipment that we use
Any help would be very appreciated.

Try and have a look back at some of the older posts on the forum featuring photos of framers workshops, they might be very useful so you can see how various pieces of equipment fit in.

Not sure exactly - a year or two ago there were several posts of photos inside forum members' workshops. maybe Business matters, or members only?

This book may be a good place to start, you can adapt the floorplans to suit your workshop/gallery:



I recently planned a new layout using a drawing program. This was my rough plan, the dimensions and measurements are not that accurate, but it was very useful to help layout the machines and equipment.

I built a number of storage units for frames, paintings and finished jobs. Let me know if you would like some photos or designs for these.

I think that frame mouldings are best stored vertically, if you have the space. As for frames waiting to be used, you could use shelving brackets, or racking. These keep the frames away from the floor.

If you have a look at my blog you will see lots of photos from inside my workshop, and of various storage methods and so on, it may help you plan yours.

I don't have something in mind, only the dimension of the store, the way the store must be divine, because is workshop and display room with also homeware and decorative stuff. I must fit at the workshop all the machinery that we have, and we may also buy a Gunnar or Valiani.
I will look at the book and come back with more details if have any.
