I like the panoramics are they cropped from a standard photo or do you stitch them together. There wasn't snow at Bryce when I went amazing place, I still want to go walking down in the canyon. If you haven't been arches national park in the same area it is worth a look.
The second batch is much better than the first in my opinion - the first photos look like amateur shots on the whole whereas the second have very nice composition and colours and could easily be professional. Maybe the fact they are panoramic helps a lot so they don't look like fairly normal holiday shots. The very first photo would really benefit from photoshopping or cropping out the messy branch in the top right.
The first 4 of the second batch I think are worthy of framing for the photographer's own enjoyment and perhaps a few people would even buy. For better scrutiny you may be better on a photography forum.
The kangaroo and bird shots capture great moments and may do well in nature photography competitions which that is a lot about - aesthetically as art they do not offer as much - in my opinion - and the colours are a bit flat in the roo one. They may look more arty in black and white.
The first pano in the first batch I have sold a few copies of, but the file that they are printed from doesn't have the branch in it.
The fifth one in the second batch has also sold a few copies to local people.
The roo photo hasn't been photo shopped at all. It's straight from the camera. I included it because I thought you guys might not get to see very many roos.
I take photos for my own enjoyment, and selling one every now and then is just a bonus. I'm not interested at all in photography as an 'art' or entering photography competitions of any kind. I know my limitations.
I would certainly like to improve my photography, but due to the many aspects of my life, I'm not sure I will get time to allocate to that. I don't even get much time or many opportunities to take photos, lately. The last time I took any photos was in February in Death Valley.
I really do appreciate your comments and will take them on board. Thank you!
David,
The pano's are stitched together. Bryce is beautiful in winter. I haven't seen it without the snow, but I think it would be awesome any time.
I would certainly like to see Arches, but it may never happen. There are so many National Parks and National Monuments in North America with spectacular scenery that it would take a long time to see them all comprehensively. The ones I have seen were very brief visits.
I've been very fortunate to have seen Yosemite, Rocky Mountains in Canada, Lake Louise, Banff, Jasper, Columbia Icefield, Vancouver Island, Rockies around Denver, Natural Bridges NM, Goosenecks NP, Mexican Hat, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion NP, Valley of Fire State Park, Red Rock Canyon, Death Valley NP and The Alabama Hills near Lone Pine in California (not Alabama). They were all quite spectacular in different ways.
