Unwanted mouldings - Free to a good home!

Post by Not your average framer »

IT'S FREE

Having recently bought a large quantity of mouldings for stock, (it was one of those special offers, where you can't say no), I am making space for it by disposing of some of my existing stock.

It's a basic mixture, with a bit of everything, from various suppliers, some still in the suppliers wraps and generally in complete lengths.

It's too good to throw away, but I need the space, so it's free to a good home! Any newbies nearby wanting some basic stock, or to practice their skills with?

I'm in south Devon, near Dartmoor.

You need to be aware that unwanted mouldings rarely sell for much more than about 10% of the list price. I'm offering these for nothing to get them out of my hair and to do someone a favour.

Considering that Hayling Island is probably 100 miles each way to get to me, I think you need to know what I've got to get rid of and how much of it there is, before committing yourself to coming that far.

None of this is rubbish and it's all usable stuff, but It's important to me that I am really doing someone a good turn, rather than just getting rid of my surplus stock. I'm still getting it all together in one place, so I'll let you know more about it when it's all sorted.

A van might not be the best move, if it's gonna cost a lot for hire and fuel costs. An estate car will still carry quite a lot of moulding, but at less cost and I won't be offended if you want to be a bit selective about what you take. I'd rather that you take an estate car full of hand picked mouldings, than pay out a lot of money for a van, take everything and be disappointed with what it cost to get it all.

Hayling Framer has first refusal on these mouldings. I will advise if any are left at a later time.

These mouldings are all still available. Hayling framer was not able to come at this time, for very understandable reasons. So I still have them and still urgently need some space.

These mouldings are mostly full lengths, many still wrapped, even some full packs. Includes, Simons, Ashworth and Thomson, Wessex and Frinton, plus various bare wood profiles and a good many larger profiles.

There is nothing wrong with any of these and they are all good quality stock, but I urgently need the space while refitting my shop and workshop in preparation for getting a CMC.

These mouldings have been taken away by their new owner and therefore are no longer available.
