Thick conservation mountboard

I have 4 limited edition prints to frame and the customer has selected a thick core mount in Daler's Antique White. I normally use Daler boards but I can't find any of their conservation range that is any thicker than 1.4mm. Have I missed something or can anybody recommend an 'Antique White' thick core conservation from another manufacturer?

Many thanks in advance,

Steve

I think Daler do Conservation in 2500mic.

Take a look here:

From memory the colour choice is limited but should be on the back of the colour chart.

This page from Wessex website would seem to suggest it is available:

You can make your own double-thick boards with any surface colour you like by pasting two together, I do it regularly.

Just make sure the board you use for the bottom half has a surface paper that is as close to the colour of the core as possible and paste them together back-to-back. I use starch paste applied with a mini-roller and then weight it with a couple of sheets of 6mm glass.

Or if you want you can get nice 'pinstripe' effects, either in the centre of the cut or at the bottom of the cut, by using coloured boards.

Thanks for your time and responses.

Just got back to the office and taken a look at the Daler mountboard selector.

Conservation 2500 mic available in, Antique White 3869, Champagne 3811, Cotton White Ingres 3800, Pale Ivory 3870 & Polar White Ingres 3800.

Looks like you are sorted.

Robo, only been able to find black core for this. Which manufacurer should I be looking at?

I wandered around a Washington Green gallery in Cardiff last week and noticed they use that effect with a blue/grey shade for the pinstripe.

It's not the core, it's the surface paper, if you stick two boards together with the bottom one face up you get this ...
pinstripe.jpg
But a correction to the quote above, if you put it face down, you wouldn't get the effect at the bottom.
