Probably a non starter, but does anyone know where I can get my hands on barewood swept frames that I can then finish myself?

Frinton Gallery will do them in in plain gesso.

How about just adding a finish to ones that are already finished? The ones Arqadia sell are very cheap.
I have some in ivory which would seem the best colour to go over the top of that I am going to have a go at.
